Sketch City is celebrating Melbourne’s female creatives by bringing them together for a day of music, art, dance and film. See live painting by Melbourne’s best female artists and musicians with their unique blend of interactive live art and hip hop.
For the funnest creative experience ever check out film by Joske and Female Breakers, while loading up on comps, giveaways and all the art materials and wall space you’ll ever need!! This event is all ages until 7PM with big kids only after that to party on all night.

An all female show exhibiting a collection of works by the girls behind We Make Stuff Good.
This exhibition coincides with the Sketch City event ‘All Ladies” the following week – creating two weekends of Melbourne female design, art and street culture.
As well as keeping their website full of good stuff, the girls from We Make Stuff Good have been behind recent street art and cultural events such as Don’t Ban the Can, WMSG Street Art & Bar Tours, Sketch City, and street art exhibitions at the WMSG Gallery in Berlin.

Sketch City does Rainbow Serpent – Australia Day weekend!

FRIDAY – 6-11 PM – Sketchy free-4-all! Come and discover our range of art materials and get creative any way you like!
SATURDAY 3-8PM – Stencilling and sticker workshops – come and learn how to cut and spray a stencil to add to our wall or walk away with your own finished canvas or stickers
SUNDAY 2PM ONWARDS – Mural Workshop – For those who want tocollaborate on the massive Sketch City wall! Come and learn how to use spray cans and collaborate with others to create a piece that represents your time at Rainbow for everyone to enjoy!

It’s our last event of the year and it’s going to be funkin’ phenomenal! So much live funk & soul you wont help but get your freak on, with styling new threads for the warehouse walls and Sketchy Santa with goodies for all!
All this plus see 8 amazing local street artists painting live the warehouse walls and a shiny new white van… it’ll be a gas! This event is kid friendly until 7pm - any age, any creative level – come along and be inspired! Check out the photos from the event…

Another huge event at Sketch City’s Dazzeland studios is coming up. If you love hip hop, free-style and sketching pictures to the beat then it is time to get out of your bedroom and join in the fun at Dazzeland studios.
Sketch the Rhyme, that’s what these Sydney kids do: A bunch of MC’s battle it out against each other to guess what a group of speed sketchers are drawing. The tables also turn when the Sketchers battle it out against each other, swapping squiggles and challenging the other sketcher to make a picture out of it.
If you know Mr Squiggle, it’s like that but with a hip hop back beat. Check out this sound video for a demo:

This Spring, Sketch City will be giving you reason to celebrate! Sketch City will now be held on a Saturday which means a bigger party and longer hours, all the more time to get involved in those creative vibes you wont find anywhere else!
We’re creating a Japanese theme to celebrate the start of spring and we’ll see a massive paint production from the likes of renown Melbourne Graff heroes Bailer and Dirty Sanchez with live Hip Hop from Call and Response, Tranquil Artillery, JP, and J Waters, Plus Hugo & Treats, live funk by Sasqwatch and finally winding it up with some Jazz and Drum n Bass with Fa
Get ready for your 5 minutes of fame with some funky disco Karaoke, plus live painting battles and all the walls and materials you need to get your paint on!
4pm till Late, All Ages, $7 Entry 0r $5 Concession
Family friendly till 6pm, Big Kids only after 7pm
